DFLA Statement on UN Climate Report
By Sophie Trist
A 3,000-page report from some of the world's leading climate scientists issues a "code red" for humanity, warning that if we don't drastically cut carbon emissions very soon, global temperatures will continue to rise at unprecedented rates, causing floods, wildfires, droughts, hurricanes, and other climate disasters which endanger human life. We can't be pro-life if we don't protect this planet upon which our lives depend. It's time for governments to stop just talking the talk and actually walk the walk when it comes to battling climate change. Protecting our environment, making sure that Earth is safe for ourselves and our children, is absolutely a life issue.
