What is DFLA's mission? We exist to help pro-life Democrats win office and pass laws that are Pro-Life for the Whole Life. What does Pro-Life for the Whole Life mean? Although abortion deserves special consideration as the most striking violation of human rights in the Democratic Party platform, we support the Consistent Life Ethic. This means that we are opposed to any policies or actions that undermine the value of human life.  Specifically, we focus on five areas: opposing abortion, opposing assisted suicide, opposing the death penalty, improving healthcare, and taking action on systemic racism. What does Whole Life mean?

“A systemic vision of life seeks to expand the moral imagination of a society, not partition it into airtight categories... A consistent ethic of life seeks to present a coherent linkage among a diverse set of issues. National level paid position Candidate Committee Chair  Part-time (20 hours a week)  Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):  leading weekly meetings of the Candidate Committee,  guiding and coordinating all the efforts of the Candidate committee,  maintaining DFLA's list of elected whole life Democrats, working on candidate endorsements with the larger committee, and maintaining good communication with endorsed candidates.
